Aigas Self Catering Cottages Accommodation near Beauly
Mains of Aigas is a traditional Highland farm once part of a model sporting estate created during the Victorian era. The farm courtyard was refurbished in recent years to provide an attractive range of self-catering cottages.
There are four self catering cottages located in the courtyard( ‘Coach House’, ‘Pond View ‘, ‘Old Stable’ and ‘Old Dairy’ ) – a peaceful setting with views of the Aigas forest and hills to the East. A fifth cosy self catering cottage ‘Cuil-Na-Caillich’ nestles in the hillside in a more secluded setting with a South facing aspect and has a commanding view overlooking the farm. The cottages each sleep 4-6 persons
The business is run by three generations of the Masheter family and have been involved with farming and self catering at Aigas since 1960.
Aigas Golf Course (9 Holes par 33) Home to Aigas Golf Club
Aigas golf course was established in 1993 as part of a farm diversification project. The first tee of our par 33 parkland course is a few minutes walk from the cottages and is very popular with Aigas holiday visitors – many people have had their first golfing experience here and keep coming back to enjoy their experience time and time again.
The course has matured nicely during the last 21 years and has earned a great reputation in the local area for being challenging and well-manicured in a spectacular setting. The club has a small membership of around 150 members which enables the visitor to enjoy a game at almost any time.
There are a further 25 courses within an hours drive from Aigas which includes Castle Stuart (35mins), Royal Dornoch (1hr), Nairn (50mins) and Spey Valley(1hr). This makes Aigas a wonderful base for golfing breaks.
